Testing all thermal baths of Budapest
The concept
Budapest is full of quality thermal baths, indoors and outdoors alike.
The idea is to try them all out in 2011, and relax regularly in the larger renowned baths, as well as discovering the charms of lesser-known ones, while meeting new people in the process.

Thermal springs do not usually abound in large towns, but Budapest is unique in this regard as here locals and visitors alike can choose from a wide range of local spas, located right in the centre of the capital.
Besides the historical turkish baths and hotel spas that tend to ressemble baroque palaces, the variation is large whether you long for a wave pool in summer, steam escaping the outside pools in winter, wish to play chess or relax in a sauna.
Some baths even organise programmes at night!
In addition to nice bathing facilities and drinking cures, a wide range of medical treatments and wellness services are also available.
And fine coffee houses and restaurants too...
Historic Budapest Coffee Houses are at par with the ones in Vienna, with some that have been owned by the same family for generations.
After the baths the group can try out one of the (inevitably) nearby coffee shop or restaurant, and enjoy some of the finest Hungarian specialties: Eszterházi or Dobos tórta, Rétes or Somlói galuska to name but a few...
